Grant of Exploration Licence E04/2356

23 March 2016

Kimberley Granite Quarries is pleased to announce that the Department of Mines and Petroleum has granted the company’s Exploration Licence Application E04/2356 applied for in June 2014. The new area abuts the company’s mining tenement M04/450 and contains a similar granite formation that KGQ currently has approval for extraction of material from.

KGQ intends to evaluate the new exploration area over the coming years to identify an appropriate granite resource. The long term goal of the company will be to develop the area under the same guidelines as company current has for its adjacent approved quarrying area. There will be a number of milestones that need to be met for this to be achieved, which include but are not limited to, customer demand for the product, and full approval from all government and other parties. It is anticipated that the approvals process will be a lengthy process for E04/2356 but in conjunction with the company’s current asset base KGQ believes that E04/2356 is part of the long term strategy for the company in the area.

Kimberley Granite Quarries Expands Hard Rock Tenure

Kimberley Granite Quarries has applied to expand its tenure surrounding the company’s Fitzroy South Quarry location.  The company believes that the new area will contain significant additional tonnages of granite material that will exhibited the same excellent hard rock specifications as found at the company’s approved quarry site.

Kimberley Granite Quarries looks forward to progressing through the approval process with the local Gooniyandi people and all other stakeholders.  Upon completion of all requirements the new tenure will allow the company to consolidate its ground holdings to cover a premium granite resource ready for the production of a range of produces, from large individual armour rock pieces through to graded aggregate material.

Accelerated Reactive Silica Test

Kimberley Granite Quarries has received the results from the Accelerated Reactive Silica (Mortar Bar) tests.  The test work confirms the suitability of the aggregate material to be classed as Non-Reactive.  The measurement results of a 0.06% expansion indicate that the aggregate material is substantially below the 0.1% expansion point after 22 days to be classed as a non-reactive aggregate product.

This excellent result along with the high LA abrasion index and very low chloride and sulphate solubility, continue to build on the excellent product qualities of the material at the quarry site.

New Test Results

Kimberley Granite Quarries has recently recovered a number of reprehensive samples from the company’s mining tenement at the Fitzroy South Quarry site.  The material has been submitted for Los Angeles Abrasion value WA220.1 analysis, to confirm the suitability of the material for a number of applications including road sealing aggregates.

The results from the SGS Australia test work returned excellent abrasion resistance with only 15.4% of the granite material passing the sized mesh limit, as per the attached certificate.

Other test work currently underway includes Accelerated Reactive Silica Mortar Bar analysis.  The results for these investigations are expected in approximately six weeks’ time.
